Agile stands for "entrepreneurial flexibility". SMEs have to show flexibility in the market to operate profitably. SMEs need to check periodically their position and often they need to adapt and develop their business to keep up with market changes.
Agile stands not only for "entrepreneurial flexibility", it also stands for our proposed approach which has to be flexible and lightweight - agile in one word.

Most important elements in an agile approach:
a) the customer explains the situation, expresses needs and wishes. There is no clear idea if a good solution is available. All options are kept open.
b) SL Agile proposes in an iterative process - customer and team meet regularly for short meetings - possible solutions. Customers receives an overview of possible alternatives, needs for resources and different transformation paths. During this period, based on learning and new information, goals and priorities are constantly reset.
c) In intermediary result meetings the customer can monitor development and achievement, reschedule work and set new goals. The possibility of virtual prototypes or real prototypes facilitates the decision making process.
